"Fashion changes, style is eternal" - Coco Chanel

About me

I am makeup artist Anna Somos, I work in downtown Kecskemét, on Klapka Street. I have been in the profession since 2014, mainly using Russian techniques at a professional level, which last 24 hours.
Every year, I take part in continuing education courses in order to be able to follow the current trends,
since it is one of the most important in all fashion professions.

In make-up, I found something that I can constantly improve with, as it is a very creative job, which I would rather call my passion now.

Since 2014, I have been working continuously in the makeup profession. As a beginner – since my partner and I were running a photography and film business at the time – I did a lot of make-up for our own work and at the request of other photographers. After a year or two, more serious invitations began to appear, during which I was also able to try my hand at the film industry.

Although at first I was mainly active as a photographer in the family business, today I only live for make-up, and I have become the mother of a wonderful little girl, which is also my main job. These two things make my life truly happy. I face a lot of tasks to be solved, every day I have to reconcile my profession with this, which is not always easy, but I always strive to be the best in both. I give thanks for it every day, and I also feel very lucky that this wonderful profession in which I work has turned from a hobby into a profession for me at the same time.

In the meantime, I was approached by Máté Hintenberger – who won the country’s best hairdresser award in 2018 – and I worked with him from 2016 to 2019 in his foreign-standard beauty salon. This was a huge prestige for me, especially since Máté attends a lot of competitions, so I was able to do his makeup on many occasions.

In 2019, I decided to go and test myself in a competition.

My results

I only dreamed about racing for a long time. However, with great effort I overcame my lamp fever and with the guidance of my master – Dominique Roberts – I started preparing for my first competition: The Craft cup in Miskolc 2019.

During the period of my preparation, I did the planned make-up a total of 36 times, so yes, every movement was fixed. However, we ran into many difficulties during this time, including a model change 2 weeks before the competition.

On the day of the competition, I was terribly excited, until I got a brush in my hand. After that, everything came naturally, and looking back, it all happened in seconds. To my great joy, I not only achieved a podium finish, but even managed to bring home the gold medal in Beautician Living Room Finishing in the “Graduating photo” category.

All of this would not have been possible without my family, because with my 18-month-old daughter, it was not easy to find the time to practice. I believe with all my heart that in order to realize our dreams, we first need a very good partner. That’s why I dared to do it, and in the end, success crowned the invested energy.

My studies

I first completed a 2-week intensive course with make-up artist Éva Fábián in 2014 and continued with Petrilla Orsi, who is the only air brush instructor in Hungary.

European and world champion in January 2016 Dominique Robertsnél,

I continued my training with a recognized makeup artist, learning the secrets of Russian techniques. The Aqua, Pencil, Gel Liner, Cream technique, as well as their combinations, which requires incredibly precise work. I do most of my bridal and casual makeup with it. Dominique has a 16-year professional career behind him. His name has grown into a concept over time. Not by chance, as her make-up creations amazed the world. What I learned from him raised my knowledge to a higher level than ever before.

Since there is always something to learn, I chose Dominique again in 2017 and 2018, and I also took part in the masterclasses of two very famous Russian trainers in Budapest.

In 2020, I had to think about how to proceed, since none of my services were used for months due to covid. Since I love eyebrow shaping, the world of make-up tattoos attracted me the most, and I tried to choose one of the best schools in the country.

 Méhn Tünde PMU Art School

I decided to, and in May 2021, I passed the exam in ombre eyebrow tattooing.

Since then, I have participated in several of their training courses, and there is always the opportunity to improve here as well.
